Lost two Apocalypses in the span of two days. Was jumping from Tpar to Ure to try to rat there and jumped at the wrong time and got killed by two BBYD that were in the system in Vagabonds. Bad timing. Couple of days later was mining and a Co-en jumped into system and we assumed jumped out but he scanned down asteroid field and logged there. I had my apocalypse cloaked in the belt to kill some rats when they came and when Coven logged in, I luckily got Dezmon out of there in time to save the Hulk. The coven was in an attack frigate and I figured I could've killed him with one or two volleys but it took like 30 seconds to lock onto him when I decloaked and my drones didn't do as much damage as I thought they would. Oh well.

We changed Alliances and now are with Romanian Legion. They are much larger, much more organized and stricter. There is a mandatory CTA today at 1 and I'd like to go but I don't know how I'm going to be able to do that with Jeremy. I know he'll be jumping all over me to go outside, play with Emily, go on the slip and slide, etc. It's really difficult to do things during the day with him. I'm definitely going to start to get into PVP and go into fleets with these people. I need to fit some ships though. That's one of the reasons why I'm avoiding the CTA as well, as I only have one ship fitted and the rigs aren't right for the CTA. We're also wardecked so we can't get anything from Jita right now and have to deal with what we have down there. I want to get a few ships fitted and shipped down, some inty's, maybe a dictor, an Apoc, and another Harby.

We moved down the chain to the second to last system in the chain. We're basically in a dead end of space which makes things nice and quiet. They were pretty quiet the last two days but I've been hearing that we're going to get more activity in the next days.

It's mandatory that we're logged into Teamspeak when we're in game. I don't mind it; just don't know what to say certain times. It's interesting hearing some of the other guys speak and what they're talking about. You can learn a lot from them. I know just listening to the one guy has given me a much greater Apocalypse fit for ratting. I'm going to focus on the ratting on Benwayy. He says he makes about 35 million isk per hour ratting and I'd like to get somewhere in that area. Last night, when doing my first Hub of this new ratting goal, I got an officer spawn!!! Dark Blood Capacitor, Dark Blood Web, Dark Blood Warp Disruptor!!! That's about 170 million in one shot. Was very happy and got them safely to the station. I might try to sell the two out there and see what happens.

Don't quite know what to train Benwayy in. I went for the Large Turrets to give my ratting a boost but it's twenty days to get them. With all the talk of carriers, I've even been considering going down that route. The real problem is with Dezmon. I was going to get trained into Gallente and Caldari but the past few days I have been leaning towards Caldari. But I don't even know if I want to keep that character. I've been toying around with many different ideas, from selling him to training him into a Drake to getting him into Industry. I don't know. Many choices.

I started doing some trading and have made some money off it. Trained up a small trading alt. To change the market orders multiple times a day gets to be a pain in the ass so I may just play the market game when I get in the mood to. But I'd like to have that passive sort of isk coming in. I want to build my bank account to 5 billion and we'll see how that plays out during the next couple of weeks. I think I'm just about 1 billion right now.

Been in corporation for about a month and a week. Didn't get to play much during finals week. I have gotten the hang of null sec and feel pretty comfortable. Some of the things that happen are a pain in the ass, like the neuts in the system or the roams that come through. But last night is an example of a perfectly calm night where I got to do some mining for about an hour and a half, whereas yesterday morning I tried to get some done because the belts had just respawned and I couldn't do anything. Mining is fine, if not boring. But if you're doing other things, it's not so bad. I can rat while I mine and then warp to the miner to kill the rats that spawn or as I started last night, I can haul while mining. I inquired about joining the corp pvp fleet and I'm expected to get corp fit ships, which pretty much means minmatar. I don't know if I really like the idea of cross training because of the time involved. We'll see what happens when I get to that point. Right now I'm training up all the prerequisites to fly every small ship type. Just got done training for interceptors, now training Weapon Upgrades to 5 which opens up a few ship types. After that, probably go for Destroyers to 5, Interceptors to 4 to open up Interdictor. I was toying around with the idea of taking the mining guy and training Caldari/Gallente on him and then train Amarr/Minmatar on the main guy. I wouldn't mind two guys to run some of those more difficult anomolies as they show up, because the loot in them can be worth quite a bit.

Starting to run some of the archaelogy sites as they show up. They have the potential to have Capacitor Consoles, which sell for more than 20 million each. The one morning a bunch had spawned in our system and one of the sites gave me 5 of those in one sitting! Some of them don't give any great loot, just salvage. Hit or miss but most times worth trying. Having fun with the game right now, just trying to make a lot of isk and looking into ways to make the money more easily. Right now I'm putting a lot of effort to make the isk I'm making and there are other ways. I think once I get a decent amount of isk stockpiled (2 billion), then I can start doing other things. I still have to try PI, which might happen this week. Here's the training plans:

Weapon Upgrades 5
Interceptors 4
Destroyers 5
Interdictors

Mining Character:

Gallente Industrial 5

Been in Corp for two weeks now, haven't gotten to play much lately though. I have gotten some mining done but I've too scared to do it most days. We had a lot of hostile action in our system. I really need to get some better tanking and drone skills on my miner. I had no implants on my guy in null sec so I decided to drive my clone with implants out there. I made the forty jumps, with one close call with a guy trying to bubble me but got out of there. I make it into the system after about an hour's worth of work and decide to go ratting for a little while. Hostile comes into system and gets me right away, destroying my implants. All that work and I got blown up a few minutes after arriving in the system. Ridiculous. But I guess that's just how it goes. That was the only ship I had in the system so I had to wait until my other two ships got carted down. I like flying the Harbinger better than the Apocalypse, which I just got down there last night. Faster, deals better damage for now and not as bad if I lose it. I think I'm starting to get used to Null Sec but I'm still nervous whenever I see a neut enter the system. I had done a fair amount of ratting in our home system, never venturing to the better system for fear of death and because of the traffic that system gets. I want to try to get in game this week and grind up that isk. My goal may be to grind up enough isk to buy another character. All I think about is other characters to fill roles I would like to try instead of waiting the time it would take to get my character up to that point. Training plans:

Hull Upgrades 5
EM Armor Comp 4
Thermic Armor Comp 4
Weapon Upgrades 5
Assault Ships 4
Heavy Assault Ships 3

Going to get the main HAC capable after I can use those the type 2 hardeners and boost my resists. I don't see myself doing the HACS in the very near future but I can see how useful the type 2 hardeners and more resistances will be. I would like to be able to use the Zealot, as it seems capable and popular in PVP fleets. I've also been considering the stealth bomber route and have plenty of missile skillbooks but I don't know if I want to devote the time to that right now. If I do, I can always cross train into Caldari but that's a long away from important skills. As for the miner I'll finish out:

Refining Efficiency (tonight)
Metallurgy 4
Bistot Processing 3
Arkonor Processing 3
Cronkite Processing 3

Get this guy up to using the crystals for these types of ore. After this, I don't know where I'll take him. Possibly Gallente Industrial to 5 which takes 20 days and get him into freighters or maybe PI skills. We'll see.

Finally joined a Corp

I got my Apocalypse all fit perfectly, went out to do some Level four missions and was immediately attacked by pirates. This happened on Thursday Night and I survived and would've killed a Hurricane but got nervous because it was my first time flying the Apoc. Go out the next night and get tackled during mission, killed by three ships. Should've been smarter because there was a frigate hovering around me and now I know how to react against these jerks. I should've just warped out when I had the chance. I don't know what I was expecting the idiot to do so I deserved to lose that ship because of my ignorance. So I applied to a 0.0 corporation and was approved after a few days. I have my ships in contract, waiting for them to get transferred down there. I jumped cloned the main and flew the miner down there after going 20 jumps in the wrong direction and having to jump 40 jumps through low sec/null sec. I made it though without a problem, hitting one bubble but there was no one in the system and I immediately warped away anyway. I'm bringing a Harbi down there and hopefully that will be enough to survive and rat in. My training queue has been all fucked up lately. Started training Energy Systems, then Navigation, and then moved to Small Pulse Lasers in order to fire the T2 weapons on the Harbinger. I actually hadn't noticed all the rig requirements to fly the T3 ships and the cost was too prohibitive for me at this point. Stealth bombers actually seem like another fun class of ship to fly and I might cross train into that in the next few weeks. Here's the immediate training plan, which seems to change everyday:

Small Pulse Laser 4
Medium Pulse Laser 3
Energy Operation 5
Medium Pulse Laser 4
Armor Comps (Depending on the Pirates/Rats in the system)

After this, I may try to get those missile skills up in order to be able to fly the stealth bomber or train into HACS or gunnery skills. I was even thinking of improving the scanning skills. We'll see what's needed and what I can do.

Even on the miner, I have different things I would like to achieve. I don't know how often I'll get to mine those worthwhile ores so just in case I'm going to get Refining Efficiency up to 5, and then get the ABC ores up to 4 each so I can use their crystals. If that doesn't work out, I may go into the PI route or something else. Everything is up in the air.

Drone Interfacing 3
Refining Efficiency 5

I am really excited to get into Nullsec and the corp seems helpful. Every time I log on I have to join fleet and I'll have plenty of PVP possibilities now, for good and for bad. The whole thing is very interesting and there has been plenty of information to learn over the last few days. I still don't exactly know what's going on but over the next few days I'm sure I'll learn how to live in Nullsec while hopefully making a decent profit. Just kind of nervous learning the ropes and asking questions, don't want to seem like a complete idiot and I hope the Harbi can survive out there. Being part of a group seems pretty interesting anyway and it's a nice change of pace from just mission grinding. If I ever need a break, I can always jump to a clone and grind out a few level 4s or something. Happy and excited about this and we'll see how it all turns out during the next few days/weeks. Definitely a new part of the game that will hopefully keep me interested for a decent amount of time.

Mining Ain't So Bad

Been mining with my new character since he was transfered on Tuesday Night. Mining really isn't that bad and I've been doing it while doing the math assignments that were due this week, along with Accounting. I had someone can flip me today and it pissed me off a bit, wish I had my main with me. As it is, I'm going to send this guy to Amarr space so I can grind rep for both of them, along with having someone to run the ore and to have the opportunity to mine Pyroxes. I have Carthum Conglomerates at a 2.2 standing so I can start to run level 3 missions with them. Maybe get this guy as a Datacore alt or something else, I haven't really decided yet. Or possibly get the Orca skills. There are a few different ways to go here. Finishing up the Exhumers skill that the previous owner had, then going to probably get the drone skills up. I'll be able to increase my yield pretty well by getting that fifth drone and having interfacing up to 4.

Hulk Mining Character, Random Skills

I trained up the skills for the Pilgrim but haven't used it. I do everything retarded in this game. I've been actually playing the game the last few days, doing some assorted missions for Theology Council and for the Carthan Conglomerate. I did some missions with them yesterday, just grinding up their standing but in order to do research for them, I'd need a lot of training time. Basically, everything I'm doing is backward. I bought a Pilgrim and Apocalypse but don't really have great skills for Apocalypse. Been training some gun skills the last few days and I would eventually want to be able to use Mega Pulse Laser 2 but that is like a month of training time.

I've been looking on the eveboards for a character and was originally going to buy a Caldari pve/pvp character but I decided to buy a Hulk character. He has just under 5 million sp and I should have him today. I got a decent deal on him and the guy sold me his Hulk as well. I hope to start mining tonight and see if I like it at all. I was going to put the new character on my account but I decided to buy a new account through the buddy program. For the extra five dollars, I should be able to give the mining character almost 3 million sp in the 51 days of game time I get. Plus, I've been credited the free month of game time so my main account has more than 80 days on it and the secondary account has 51 days. I'm going to see how much I like the mining and if I don't like it, I can always sell the second character for some kind of profit, while training essential skills to get him into an Orca. My plan with my main is:

Small Pulse Laser Specialization 1-3 (finished)
Motion Prediction 4 (just finished)
Controlled Bursts 4
Small Pulse Laser Specialization 4
Medium Pulse Laser Specialization 1-2

From this point, I can get those engineering skills I so badly need or go into the Medium Pulse Laser Specialization to 4, or Large Energy Turrets, which I'm probably going to get first. So many skills to train, so little time.

Mining Character Plan:

This guy has Mining Drones to level 5 but only has Drones 3. My immediate plans with him are:

Drones 5
Drone Interfacing 4
Electronics 5
Engineering 5

This is all depending upon how this character plays. Drones are a definite but we'll see how badly his cap does and if so, get the electronic skills first. Lets see how much I like mining and how much of this can be done afk. I was also thinking of taking this character along the industry root, getting the essential skills for building ships or maybe even the datacore route with science, grouping him with the main to do level threes to skill up quickly. These are all possibilities.

Eve

I'm 3 hours away from flying the Pilgrim! I was playing around with the game for a while the other night but there seemed like there was nothing to really do. Just too much of a pain to fly around, find an anomaly and then have to get the battlecruiser which could be more than 5 jumps away. Pain in the ass. I was trying to scan down anomalies, wound up just going into a wormhole to see how I could make out. I tried to solo the easiest one and couldn't do it. My cap kept running out. I had some more luck when I was using the drones but I warped out before getting them back in my ship and I was limited on their numbers. The sleepers were targeting and killing them anyway. I think if I got the ship fit the right way I could do much better. Using the tech 2 weapons, tech 2 ammo, tech 2 drones and use the extra 2 turret slots for Large guns instead of the small I was running now. I really do have to try it with that optimized fitting. Here's the training plan:

Covert Ops 4 (3 hours)
Recon Ships 1&2
Drone Interfacing 3
Amarr Battleship 1&2
Energy Upgrades
Energy Systems Upgrades

I really have to get the cap skills up as I could have done better if I would have had the extra 10 percent in cap skills. That's about two weeks of training time :(. Still have a lot of training to do before I see some kind of increase in the character's skills. All this training time and none of the skills really effect how he performs in combat. But I do have some ship options now. We'll see what happens with everything. I wouldn't mind getting the Battleship skills OK so I could run level 4 missions. There's supposed to be good money in those. Anything where I can make a boatload of money. We'll see what happens. I'm about to buy the GTC and convert it to ISK. This will give me the cushion I need to buy some new ships (Battleships!), fit everything the right way and maybe even pvp some. It takes money to make money.

New Vegas

Been playing New Vegas quite a lot the last few days. It's a fun game, the stories are interesting and I'm having fun with it. The use of the companions may make it a bit too easy but I can dismiss them at any time if I feel like it. It's one of the rare games where I just want to explore to see everything I can. I don't want to miss anything. Maybe I'll give Fallout 3 a try sometime after I'm done with this one. All depends on how I feel at that point. Got kind of pissed off with the Vault 34 mission last night. Was stuck in there for hours, trying to figure it out. Too much of a maze and looked it up online.

Eve

Went into space for a bit tonight for the first time in months! Ran a random cosmic anomaly. I actually only need a few more days until I can get myself into a legion. I don't know what route I want to go with the game but I'm definitely going to aim for the pilgrim and go from there. Maybe upgrade the gunnery skills more after that. There are still quite a bit of skills that I can upgrade to make the character more effective overall. Going to start exploring this week and go into low sec and play around there. What is there to lose? Maybe even try planetary interaction, see how that works out. I might just buy a GTC to get isk so I don't have to grind. Another option would be to train the battleships and go that route and try to get level 4 missions and try to make money that way. I definitely do want to make some isk and might finally try to get into a corp. My goal is just to try out the different ships, become effective in at least flying a couple of them. Becoming a pirate would definitely be interesting or join a ratting corp or something similar.

Training Plan:

Signature Analysis 5 (3 days left)
Cov Ops 4

PILGRIM TIME!!!!

Drone Interfacing 4

After that it's up in the air. Perhaps Small Energy Laser Spec to 4 so I can get Medium Energy Laser Spec but I have to train sharpshooter up to 5 and that will take a while. At least the character is looking more rounded out that I've payed for him for the few months.

I tried that Somer Blink lottery and won the first lottery I ever tried with the promotion credit for signing up. Put 50 million isk into the game, won 25 and then lost the rest so I only came out 15 down. I can see how that game can get crazy addictive quickly.

Been wanting to play around with LOTRO and since Jeremy has been playing, I might toy around with chris's character since he is the 30's and should be kind of fun to play with by that point.

Beat Mass Effect 2 over the weekend. Played a marathon session on Saturday because there wasn't much to do. The game turned out to be pretty fun, was actually kind of shocked at some of the people that died in the end of the game because I didn't upgrade my ship. I assumed that not upgrading would have some kind of effect like it did but I didn't feel like scanning the rest of those planets to get the minerals I needed. I started playing Fallout: New Vegas and am having some fun with it. I was watching the final fight tournament this weekend and was super excited about buying mvc3 but i didn't like it much after playing it with chris. It just wasn't as fun as I expected.

World of Warcraft

My WoW subscription has phased and I'm not resubbing for a few weeks at least. Was having fun with arena but the game just isn't worth it right now. I hate trying to find someone to play with, especially someone with no patience. I just want to do arena for fun, it's the only aspect of that game that I like. The rated bgs aren't too bad and I wouldn't have minded doing them on the mage. But I don't want to keep spending on that game for that. I was just about fully pvp geared on the mage too. I only had like 1 or 2 pieces left to get. Jeremy got so upset when I told him the subscription was done. He started crying real tears and he gave me his piggy bank to pay for it. He even offered me all his toys. I'm going to download Runes of Magic for him, which he can have some fun on because he says Wizard 101 is too boring.

Eve

Finished training Cruisers 5 and I'm almost ready to play the game again. I'm training the last few skills I need to operate the Pilgrim which are:

Covert Ops 4
Spaceship Command 5
Signature Analysis 5

Which looks to be about 7 more days of training time. The ship itself costs about 120 million isk so I might go out and by myself a gametime card and convert it to plex so I don't have to worry about grinding out the money. Or maybe not. Just being able to do that takes some of the fun out of the game. I do want to be able to go into low sec and explore and we'll see how that works out. I would hate to get ganked and lose absolutely everything that I owned. But so it goes sometimes. I hope when I finally do play that my guy seems a lot stronger than he did otherwise. I can't forget that DED complex that I spent a lot of time grinding out, only to have someone else come in and reap all my treasures. It was a real kick in the teeth.

Starcraft 2

Been almost obsessive with this game for the last few days. I've been watching coverage on jtv quite a bit. There are some really strong players on there and I've been trying to learn about the game. So far, I've only played two ladder matches and lost both of them but have played a bunch of games vs the computer. Once I can start winning consistently against the computer on hard, maybe I'll start to ladder. But I think I may start to ladder more anyway, just to have the human element to it. I didn't enjoy the single player much at all when I first started it but I have to say that I'm having fun with it right now. Been trying to complete each level with at least 2 achievements. I am still playing the game on Medium but I might try to bump it up to hard for a second play or at least work on some of the levels on that difficulty.

Other Games:

Been wanting to play games with Chris but he hasn't really called me about them. When I hurt my wrist, I killed my mobility for SF4 so I haven't played that much. Killzone is good that you can get on for a few minutes and get off whenever the mood hits. Started up Mass Effect 2 on a whim. I thought that was the greatest game ever a few weeks ago then just stopped playing. Tried to play again a few weeks ago and it just bored me. But I'm having fun with it now. Going to try to beat it this weekend. Trying to do all the side missions just to see everything the game has to offer. I think I'm pretty much near the end of it or at least 75% through. I downloaded New Vegas to the computer and I might toy around with that after I'm done with ME2. Guess it just depends on what kind of mood i'm in.

Tuesday, March 1, 2011

Hit 85 on the mage. Was grinding out the Rogue for a few days and hit 71 with him. It's so fucking boring. Had nothing better to do. Was playing 2s with the mage for a while. Got bored of it. He doesn't know how to cc and I really need him to. I think 3s with his Ret friend is kind of interesting and fun. But the 2s got annoying after a while.

Actually played 2s with the mage last night and he's starting to learn how to cc. He's throwing sheeps around, actually saving me from dying instantly from rogues. It's a nice change of pace. I don't think he uses the freeze from his pet. I'm almost geared out on the mage. I've been letting Jeremy grind out the BGS and Tol Barad for me. Also been grinding out the druid a bit on tol barad. Just hitting that up for the easy honor.

I decided to resub for eve for the three months. I'm eight days away from Cruiser 5. I actually put the game on for a few minutes yesterday. Just to get some skills and inject them into my skillbook. But I actually went into space and made one jump!!! I think I may log on sometime soon for some exploration or possibly some gameplay. I want to join a corp and I think I may do the one that advertised on the podcast. Too many games to play at the moment. Bought Killzone 3 and am having fun with it. I didn't even like the beta but I bought it anyway. 40 bucks is essentially forty dollars. We spend almost that much at Old Country Buffet. Decided to get back into SF4 and haven't played that much. Been considering getting MvC3 but I can't justify it right now. Loading the patches for Starcraft and going to give that a try again. Might as well play all these stupid games that I bought. NOthing else to do. Wasting life away on video games

WOW

Was running with a warrior in 2s and he really seemed to like playing and he seemed determined to get up to 1800. We played a few games one night, played again a few nights later, then he never came back on. I found a mage for 2s and he's seems like a decent guy. He likes to play and I hope he doesn't get fed up with losing. Our record is about 30-30 and we haven't broken past 1400. He's not the most skilled player out there and neither am I. But i'm definitely learning things while playing and the experience isn't a bad thing. Having fun doing it too. There are some matches that were absolute bullshit like Enhancement Shaman/Dps against us with the wolves raping me and there's a Ret/Rogue team that we're having difficulty with but we had some fun games like Ret/Holy which lasted 15 mins and we should've won and me vs Rogue which lasted quite a while (of course I died). I got up to 1470 in the rated BGS and am pretty much done with them and am not going to get invited back. We were fighting Gilneas the other night and I couldn't interrupt the other team from capping. I got kicked from group. The next night the same thing happened, except that we couldn't get down a target. Guy came out and said "I didn't even see any warlock Dots on the target" and I pretty much yelled at him in vent asking if he knew how the dispel mechanics in the game worked. I was on the target, spamming incinerate but I there was no CC on their healers, which allowed them to get cross healed pretty well. With them taking out 15v15, the rated bgs are kind of boring anyway. Looking to get onto a 3s team that has the same kind of laid back mentality as I do and am going to start spamming about it the next few days. Got the mage to 84 and Jeremy has been grinding out BGS for me. The rogue is 65 and I was toying around with him when I was bored the other day. We'll see what happens with all this. I hate leveling these stupid characters but I really do enjoy Arena. I really should just get into Street Fighter or buy Marvel vs Capcom.

Eve

5 days left of game time. Probably going to resub for the 3 months to build up the character. I feel like I'm headed towards the game sometime in the future. Finished up Small Energy Turrets, Mechanic 5, and am training Repair Systems 5 right now. Will train Amarr Cruisers 4 and that'll finish out the sub. After that, the long plunge into :

Amarr Cruisers 5 (22 days)
Spaceship Command 5 (4 days)

I am looking towards the Covert Ops Cruiser but plenty of options open up after Cruisers 5, with all kinds of different Cruisers available, not to mention the goal of the Legion. We'll see what happens with this all.

Other Games:

Been pretty bored with the other games. I started Killzone 2 and am not impressed by it much. I still have Uncharted 2 to play, Assasin's Creed 2 to start, Bioshock 2 and Mass Effect 2 and I can't seem to get into any of them.

Eve

I haven't undocked in weeks. I've been thinking about it and reading about it but haven't put any time into the game. I've gotten the urge to do so but then I always wind up playing Warcraft. I've trained my Medium Energy Turrets to Level 5 and am now training my Small Energy Turret to 5. If I don't start playing the game, I might cancel the sub or I may just keep it for a month or three to get this guy adequately skilled up so if I do decide to come back, I will be good to go. 39 for three months, which is the cost of one night out to Old Country Buffet or if Holly decides to go buy a pair of pants at the mall. Training plan:

Small Energy Turrets
Mechanic 5
Repair Systems 5
Amarr Cruisers 4

This should take out the remainder of my game time.

Warcraft

I found myself in a Rated PVP guild and they run almost every night. I didn't think the rated Bgs would be fun but I'm having fun doing them. I can't do them for the hours every night. The core players on the team and in the guild seem good. I haven't really played any arena. I found one rogue and he was a decent guy but I think I annoyed him or he got pissed because I was sucking. I don't like they took the arena skrimishes away. They would at least allow me to play some games to get ready with positioning, macros, etc. I'm going to start spamming looking for someone to play with for fun. Hopefully I find some down to earth people to play with. I started leveling the mage one night while bored. I've been letting Jeremy grind out BGS with him to get some honor and XP. He was also killing some mobs today while he was waiting to get into a battleground and perhaps he can help me gain some more xp. The burst damage with the mage is pretty incredible and I find myself just grinding around instead of running missions. I don't mind taking a few minutes to shoot down some mobs. I'm about halfway through level 82 and it will def take a long time to get to 85. Then comes the whole grinding out honor.

It looks like I'll be sticking with this game for the short term at least, until I get fed up with arena/not finding players. I've already been fantasizing about getting the rogue leveled up and I just don't want to do it, but I want him at the max level. I even toy around with the idea of having every class at the level cap which is just crazy, thinking about how much I have leveling. If I can get the kid to do most of the grunt work, I would love it but he's still limited in what he can understand.

Rift

I put about four hours in the beta events, it doesn't seem like a bad game, it's just WoW over again. Without something competitive like arena or some kind of fun PVP, I wouldn't get the game. Plus holding a membership for three games is just crazy.

Been grinding in WoW and hit 85 with the lock. Then started grinding out BG's like crazy to get the PVP gear. Too bad I missed the Tol Barad bug which would've given me thousands of honor easily. I've been doing Archeology in WoW and it's kind of relaxing, just like picking herbs would be. I haven't even tried the Demonology Spec yet and am looking forward to trying it out. I don't want to get used to it before it gets nerfed so I may just try it out for a bit. I downloaded the PTR and made a DK, Warrior, Rogue, and Shaman to try to better understand the classes. I haven't played on any of them much at all but am going to try this weekend before the PTR goes away because the new patch is probably launching next week.

Haven't played Eve since I hit 8.0 with Theological Council. I installed one jump clone and was planning on installing the others but just haven't done it yet. I want to go into Low Sec and play around there with the recon ship and I might also mine if I get bored. Possibly fit out a Punisher for PVP and lose a few ships, trying to learn how to PvP. I can probably mine on the laptop while I play WoW on the Desktop if I want to try to make some extra ISK. They offered the extension for players that had taken advantage of the return to Eve promotion and I didn't receive it and the promotion and had to petition the GM. After a back and forth conversation, I was able to get ten extra days out of it, something I was very happy about as I originally found out about the promotion through a forum post and the person that started the thread got an extra 14 days. The last few days I've been working on:

Engineering 5
Drones 5
Scout Drone Operation (1 day left)

Haven't quite decided what I'm going to skill after this. I might go for the Drone Interfacing but I don't know if I'll use it in the short run. I might just go for the essentials like Hull Upgrades, Mechanic, Repair Systems but I'll probably queue up the long training time of Medium Energy Turrets 5 which takes about 9 days.

Just hit 8.0 with Tribunal Council!! Been grinding missions like crazy and to be honest I was getting tired of it. I guess I could've payed to get into a corporation but it was interesting to work my way up from level 2 to level 3 missions. Luckily I received that 10 part Storyline mission and the last part of it bumped my rating by 16 percent, not to mention giving a million isk bonus and a 10 million implant. I learned some things while doing these missions and got fairly decent money. Lost a spaceship because I was getting warp disrupted and only had shitty drones. The annoying part was that I had a light gun fitted on the ship but mistakenly transfered the ammo into the station when I was emptying my cargohold. Going to take all my loot and salvage and take a trip to Amarr to get rid of it. I was at about 160 million isk then lost the spaceship so I had to replace the contents which brought me down about 20 million after getting insurance back. The next few days are going to be used for exploring or maybe finally joining a corporation.

Checking in

Last time I checked in, I was having trouble with a few of the Level 3 Missions. With my shitty skills, some of these are definitely difficult. I finally finished training all the skill necessary for Covert Ops the junk and I don't know if it was really worth it in the long run. The almost three week training time for Frigate 5, Electronics Upgrades 5, and Cloaking 4 has been ridiculous. However, all training times are ridiculous at this point. It's going to take me another month to train up the essentials. My plan so far is:

Engineering 5
Mechanic 5
Hull Upgrades 5
Repair Systems 5

After these, it's rime to get the gun skills up with Small and Medium Energy Turrets so I can start using Type 2 weapons. After that, it's the beginning Drone skills so I can use the tier 2 drones. We're looking at almost 2 months of training time here for essential skills but I guess all training is similar at this point.

So I'm still having some trouble with some Level 3 missions and I have to work the fit of Harbinger. Better cap Skills are essential but I also need to pick up a few rigs. The mission I mentioned last time I finally finished after hours and I was rewarded with a named Missile Launcher worth 12 million. Not bad. Bought my Anathema and have played around with it a bit but haven't gone into Low Sec yet. The thing really zips around at more than 2k a second. I'm still grinding up my Standings and I'm going to wait until I have Jump Clones before I start doing other silly things. My current standing is around 6.5 so another week or so of grinding out these missions and I'll be ready to go.

So I had trouble with that level 3 mission and then decided to make sure I would check up before accepting another mission. I accepted one after checking on it, then noticed the fucking information was wrong after having trouble with it. Now I have to make sure to double or triple check before I accept another one. I've been trying to finish this mission for hours.
